Project Description
Come serve alongside East Baltimore Graffiti Church as they share the Gospel with and mentor children and youth through basketball, football, soccer, and dance! The church strives to be an active part of its 96% African American community by serving the homeless, hungry, hurting, and hopeless in the city. Summer missionaries will assist with camp throughout the month of July, Monday through Friday; will Sabbath on Saturday; worship with the church on Sundays; and participate in a weekly Bible study with a pastor on staff. In addition, summer missionaries will help each of the sports coaches, mentor children and youth, set up and tear down camp, manage the summer food program, serve in the food pantry, and help supervise high school students who assist with camp through a program called YouthWorks. Apart from camp, days in June will consist of camp preparation and assisting with church construction projects.
