Dollywood Chaplain Internship

The Dollywood Company Chaplain Intern works as a member of the Wellness Team to serve all employees at Dollywood Parks and Resorts, with emphasis on promoting our resources of employee care. Life-on-life ministry opportunities will exist with residents while the intern is living at the International Residence Hall (IRH), sharing a room and bathroom with three other interns. Participation in this program may qualify for academic credit and/or course study. This summer intern enables the Wellness Team to provide a unique level of holistic care while also creating first-hand experience for employee care and understanding how our faith is lived in the workplace. The Dollywood Company chaplain will supervise the intern and meet with him/her on a regularly scheduled basis to discuss professional ministry activities and personal growth.

Work will include, but is not limited to, care-giving focused on helping Dollywood employees understand more fully life’s events as they relate to spiritual and emotional wellbeing, providing crisis ministry for employees and guests, and offering opportunities for employees and guests to learn and grow spiritually through activities (e.g., studies, worship services, and service projects). As part of the internship, he/she will evaluate, identify, and complete, at minimum, one project benefiting the spiritual care for employees or guests of Dollywood Parks & Resorts.
