‘Prayer Matters’

FRANKLIN — The Prayer Matters weekly resource features three core prayer categories: praying for those without Christ, praying for the church, and praying for pastors, along with additional prompts on various topics each week.

Listed below are the prayer prompts for the month of April. Readers are encouraged to clip out the list of prompts for each month throughout 2026.

April 6

• Pray for your pastor to have regular rest and sabbath (Psalm 23:2)

• Pray that those without Christ will come to understand that salvation is a gift of grace (Ephesians 2:8-9)

• Ask the Lord to ignite a holy fire in hearts for His glory (Psalm 80:9)

April 13

• Pray for your pastor to have a deep love for the congregation (1 Peter 4:8)

• Pray those without Christ will hear God’s call to repentance and turn to Him with a sincere heart (Acts 2:38)

• Pray that worship would be filled with the Spirit in every song, sermon and prayer, bringing glory to God alone (John 4:24)

April 20

• Ask God to give your pastor discernment in all things (1 Thessalonians 5:21)

• Pray for those without Christ to forsake their old ways and unrighteous thoughts and turn to God (Isaiah 55:7)

• Pray that God would break every stronghold opposing the church; may spiritual growth abound in every ministry (2 Corinthians 10:4)

April 27

• Ask the Father to grant your pastor good relationships with church leadership (Hebrews 10:24)

• Pray without ceasing for those without Christ, remembering that God desires all people to be saved (1 Timothy 2:4)

• Pray for the Father to empower the church to share His Word boldly; may the Word transform lives as never seen before (Acts 4:31)
