Gifts given to Tennessee WMU endowments and funds help to provide an ongoing stream of income year after year, decade after decade for scholarships, mission projects, ministries, and new initiatives.

Ways you can be a part of Tennessee WMU Endowments and Funds:

  • Give an outright gift of cash, stocks, bonds, certificates of deposit, real estate, or personal property.
  • Make an annual pledge or give in honor/in memory of someone.
  • Include WMU in a will, leaving a percentage of estate or a specific dollar amount.
  • Make a gift of a life insurance policy.
  • Create a charitable gift annuity that provides income for you as well as a gift to WMU at your death.

TENNESSEE TOUCH TOMORROW TODAY ENDOWMENT
Annual investment earnings are distributed equally between Tennessee WMU and National WMU. Tennessee WMU’s distribution is used to provide grants for association and state WMU projects, ministries and initiatives. A small amount is used to promote our endowments and funds.

Annual investment earnings are used to provide grants for association and state WMU projects, ministries and initiatives.
KATHARINE BRYAN SCHOLARSHIP ENDOWMENT
The invested earnings from this endowment provide an annual scholarship for female graduate students who are a member of a Tennessee Baptist church or have Tennessee Baptist ties.
BETTYE MOSS POWERS SCHOLARSHIP ENDOWMENT
The invested earnings from this endowment provide an annual scholarship for full-time upper-class undergraduate Tennessee Baptist students who have a definite career interest in missions.
MYRTICE OWENS NURSING SCHOLARSHIP ENDOWMENT
The invested earnings from this endowment provide an annual scholarship for nursing students interested in missions as a lifestyle and/or vocation

TENNESSEE WMU MISSIONS FOR LIFE FUND
Annual investment earnings from this fund roll back into the fund. Withdrawals from the fund are used for Tennessee WMU missionary care ministries and other special projects/circumstances.
MISSIONARY HOUSE ENDOWMENT
Earnings from this endowment are used to pay annual and long-term care expenses for the Tennessee WMU missionary house – Mary’s House.
MYRTLE CREASMAN SCHOLARSHIP FUND
The invested earnings from this fund provide an annual scholarship for outstanding female students who currently serve as a missions volunteer and are pursuing a career in missions or a church-related vocation.
JAMES & MARTHA WALLER SCHOLARSHIP ENDOWMENT
The invested earnings from this endowment provide an annual scholarship for full-time upper-class undergraduate Tennessee Baptist students who have a definite career interest in a church-related vocation.
