PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Summer Missionaries serving with Mission Centers of Houston will be immersed in urban ministry, living and working in one of the most diverse cities in America. The Centers are located in under-resourced neighborhoods that are primarily Hispanic.
Missionaries will be leading clubs for kids, youth, and senior citizens and assisting the homeless or homebound – providing food, clothes, and spiritual nourishment to all they meet. In addition, Missionaries will be equipped to lead visiting weekly youth and family mission groups and will have the opportunity to worship in various ethnic churches. Serving will also include doing yardwork for single moms/widows, stocking goods in the Compassion Center, and leading kids in a VBS-like setting several times a week.
