Is it realistic to think thriving is possible with all the demands of ministry? What would it look like in your life/your family if you were thriving?\nAll ministry couples are invited to “Thrive: A Marriage Retreat for Ministry Couples” on January 14-16, 2027.  The retreat will be at Dollywood’s HeartSong Resort and Conference in Pigeon Forge. This retreat will seek to address the unique challenges that ministry brings upon a marriage. Dr. Hershael York and his wife Tanya will be our conference leaders.\nDr. York is the Victor and Louise Lester Professor of Christian Preaching. Hershael York has served as the 11th dean of Southern Seminary’s School of Theology since 2018, and as the Victor and Louise Lester Professor of Christian Preaching since 1999. Before joining the faculty of Southern Seminary, York pastored Ashland Avenue Baptist Church in Lexington, Kentucky, and the First Baptist Church of Marion, Arkansas. He is married to Tanya, and they have 2 children. Dr. York is the Pastor Emeritus of Buck Run Baptist Church in Frankfort, Kentucky. He hosts the Pastor Well podcast.\nSchedule:\n\nThursday, January 14\n – 7:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Dessert/ice cream fellowship (This will be optional as we know many will be traveling long distances to the retreat.)\nFriday, January 15\n– 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. First Session\n– free afternoon\n– 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Banquet and second session.\nSaturday, January 16\n – 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Third Session\n– Dismiss at 11:30\n\nRegister:\nCost – $325 per couple.\nREGISTER ONLINE\n
