BRENTWOOD — A vision team exploring opportunities for Tennessee Baptists to minister to unreached people groups in West Africa has returned.
The six-member team (Donnie Bannister, Jim Carden, Mark Marshall, Rickey Minton, Gary Rickman and Lonnie Wilkey) was in Mali, West Africa, from Oct. 8-17. The team actually returned Oct. 19 after their flight was delayed for two days in Dakar, Senegal.
Though a vision trip, the team saw 20 professions of faith, 19 of whom were baptized.
The Baptist and Reflector will print in-depth articles, columns and photos from the West Africa trip in the Nov. 11 issue which will be distributed at the annual meeting of the Tennessee Baptist Convention to be held at West Jackson Baptist Church, Jackson, on Nov. 10-11.
Churches can order extra copies of this issue to use for Lottie Moon Christmas Offering promotion, missions groups (including RAs and GAs) and other uses.
The cost of the extra papers is $15 per bundle of 25. Send check to Baptist and Reflector, P. O. Box 728, Brentwood, TN 37024. Be sure to indicate payment is for the special West Africa issue.
Copies may also be ordered by calling (615) 371-2003.
